Love changes people.
16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
1 John 3:16 | NKJV
9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.
2 Corinthians 8:9 | NKJV
14 Christ’s love has moved me to such extremes. His love has the first and last word in everything we do.
2 Corinthians 5:14 | MSG
We cannot change people but we can be the cause of their change!
People change for the ones they love……..
We asked this question, “What are you willing to change to experience love?”
Have you every changed for somebody?
Love’s cost is change!
Desiring to be married……
Desiring to be successfully unmarried…..
7 Sometimes I wish everyone were single like me—a simpler life in many ways! But celibacy is not for everyone any more than marriage is. God gives the gift of the single life to some, the gift of the married life to others. 8 I do, though, tell the unmarried and widows that singleness might well be the best thing for them, as it has been for me. 9 But if they can’t manage their desires and emotions, they should by all means go ahead and get married. The difficulties of marriage are preferable by far to a sexually tortured life as a single. 10 And if you are married, stay married. This is the Master’s command, not mine. 11 If a wife should leave her husband, she must either remain single or else come back and make things right with him. And a husband has no right to get rid of his wife.
1 Corinthians 7:7-11 | MSG
Desiring to live after the death of a spouse………
Desiring to live after divorce……..
If we change for the love of God we are enabled to change for others!
37 Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 22:37-40 | NKJV
