About Us

HCA's Philosophy

We believe that each child is a unique individual and learn through his or her own systematic set of experiences. Children retain more through direct contact, hands on experiences and repetition through daily routines and active play. We believe that positive education is fostered in loving atmosphere. Our commitment to Godly principles and characteristics are taught and displayed on a daily basis. We believe in providing an atmosphere that is child oriented, thereby allowing children the opportunity to explore, experience and most importantly succeed. We believe that our focus on multi-culturalism will not only foster a respect for self, but also foster a respect for other cultural differences. Our objective is to teach love and acceptance for all. Our goal is simple: to build a partnership that will produce healthy, spirit-led, well balanced individuals for the glory of God.

Food and nutrition are an important component of a child's environment. HCA follows nutritional guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the National Association of the Education of Young Children. We plan menus according to the USDA's Food Guide Pyramid to ensure that your child is receiving a well-proportioned diet including a variety of nutritious foods needed for growth. Portions are adjusted according to the age and dietary needs of each child. Our goal is to help children develop healthy food habits. We encourage children to learn more about the foods they eat to better help them understand the value of good nutrition. *Menus are posted in each classroom and we always welcome our parents to join us for lunch at any time.
